Mining Inspector v. Bleneowe.-— Defendant is this case was summoned for a breaoh of Regulation 7 which requires every one marking out a claim eithor to register the same, or apply for a license within 10 days from marking out. The defendant was fined 20s with 16s costs. Same v. Trude.—A similar case but as defendant was ignorant of the regulation a fine of Is only and costs was inflicted. Patrick Farrell, Win. Dunkin, and Mioha<4 Collins, for the aamq offence under similar circumstances, were similarly dealt with.

Objection sustained and the claim of complainant allowed. Whitehouse v.
