LATEST TELEGRAMS. [Per Press Association] DEATH OF JUDGE MANNING. Auckland, Last Night.
By a private Gable we learn that Judge Manning 1 died on the 24th of July. The Agent-General will send his remains to New Zealand. The body of Tieney, who fell off Hamilton bridge was found near Kangiri. At a meeting of trustees of the Costley estate it was decided to realise the properties. A little boy named Heath, about eleven years old, was attacked by a bull dog which through muzzled, bit him so severely that his life was despaired of. Several men came to his rescue and had to kill the savage brute with a tomahawk, and a rifle bullet before they could release the boy. At the Police Court, William Burns, was committed for trial for indecent assault on Lena Sisslly daughter of a labourer in Chapel Street.
