COUNTY TRAMWAY.
Owing to the excellent weather we have had for the past week or two, with the exception of Satnrchy and Sunday last, great progress has been made with . the tramway. The laying of the rails up Butler's Spur is nearly .finished. A few more fine days and the ' completion of Butler's Spur will be an accomplished fact. The tunnel is now finished full size for nearly three-quarters of the whole diBt<nee—break gear at the top of Fern Spur is completed, as also tressling at font r>£ trair.way to battery. All the timber f^r Butler's Spur break gear is squared and r-ady for erecting", and all the sleepers requirod for the tramway are now delivered. The earth formation will be finished by the, end of the week round to the Premier, thus completing the whole of the formation required. The bridge on the Premier horse grade will be finished in -about ten days. We may look' for rapid completion of the whole tramway from this out, v aa no obstacles now appear. On completion ,uf Buttler's Spur hx .weelcs will jnake a big hole in the undertaking.
