Wellington, June 29. In answer to Mr Fish, Government said that they were not prepared to remove the proclamation from Rotorua lands. Mr Kelly notified a series of resolutions rendering private dealings with Native lands illegal, and declaring all future sales and leases must be made through the Lands Department. The Bible in. Schools Bill was rejected by 52 to 16. The only important feature in the Financial Statement is the imposition of a farthing additional additional Property Tax. At a meeting of Auckland and Hawke's Bay members it was resolved to press Government to grant the request of the Rotorua Hallway Directors. It is understood that Mr Bryce has brought before the Cabinet Wahanui's petition, and Ministers are discussing the possible methods of simplifying the Land Court system in the direction of more speedy individualisation of titles
