DR. PICKERELL’S PETITION WELLINGTON, December 29. A request that they should sign Dr. Pickerill’s petition opposing the appointment of dental nurses with two years’ training to take charge of the treatment of school children, and urging that the women be trained only as nurses, came before the Technical School ;Teachers ’ : Conference to_day. The followiung motion was passed: “This meeting supports the efforts of Dr Pickerill to obtain trained and qualified dental j treatment for School children, but objects to any movement which® will prevent the appointment of qualified women dental surgeons,”
