YOUNG MEN' SOCIAL CLUB
PICNIC AT OHUTU A huge success attended the initial picnic of the above club, which wsa held at Ohutu in Mr H. Belk’s grounds, well over 100 being present. Mr -and Mrs Belk, who' went a long way to make the outing so enjoyable, are deserving of the hearty , thanks of every member of the club, and also Messrs McElwain, Johnston, and Blair, who placed motor conveyances at the' convenience of the club. On arrival impromptu gamCs and racds were indulged in, and were carried on successfully throughout the day. Althogh this was an experiment, everyone was unani mous in asking the club to make it an annual affair. The catering, which was everything to be desired, was in the hands of Messrs Milne, Hart and Fitzpatrick. The club is deeply in. debted to various tradespeople in Tai hape for their hearty support, and to the 'ladies of Ohutu and Taihape for fhe splendid manner in which they worked.
