The trustees of the Methodise Church have very kindly and generously given the use of the stnOot r oom free of charge, and it is here the clubmembers will meet. It will be absolutely unde n om:nationiU and anyyoung man (or old men foi that matter/) of good conduct will be welcomed' as members. The object of the club is to have a place where young men can gather togethe r and spend a clean healthy evening instead of wa n derihg about the streets, and it is intended to have literary and debating, music, orchestra, gymnastics, boxing, card parties, social evenings, rambling, cricket, football lawn tennis and anything that will uplift and interest our future citizens. The subscription was made a modest' 5/ per annum payable on joini n g, but; it is hoped to augment this by donations from those who can afford to help the club. Donations were received f r om the following gentlemen: Messrs A. Joblin and G. Griffen £5 5/ each (the latter also gave a set of boxing gloves, quoits and games) and MessrsP. Burge, B. Venner and Walsh have donated cards and games. At the i n itial meeting His Worship the Mayor (Mr A. Joblin) presided and the-following officials were elected: Patron, W. F.
