THE PUKEKAWA TRAGEDY.
THOEN,*S SENTENCE CONSIDERED. WELLINGTON, Dec. 11. Cabinet to-day considered the sentence passed upon Samuel John Thorn; for the Pukekawa murder. No decision will be made known until the matter has been dealt with by the Executive Council. WITNESS FOUND DEAD. AUCKLAND, This day. James Granville was found dead in James Granville was found dead n bed at his farm at Glen Murray on Saturday night. Death resulted from a gu n shot wound, and a gun was found alongside the body. Granville was a witness in Thorn's trial, was the owner of the horse Mickey and was Thorn's employer. It is believed he was a single man about fifty years of age.
