HALF-YEARLY MEETING. The half-yearly meeting of the Mackay Lodge, No. 75, was held in the Oddfellows? Hall on Thursday, December 2nd, A.D., Bro. O'Sullivan presiding over a record attendance. One candidate was initiated into the rites of Drudism. The following new officers were duly installed by District President, Bro. W. Crawford: A.D., Bro. W. Jeffries; P.P.A., Bro. C. O Sullivan; V.A.D., Bro. H. Hartley; A.D. B's., Bros. W. Lavin and W. Hamilton; V.D.B’s., Bros. E. Pinfold and J. Gillies; 0.G., Bro. D. Woodhead; 1.G., Bro. J. Cameron; Trustees, Bros. Eteveneaux, J. McCormack and D. Woodhead; Secretary, Bro. J. Ginnane; Treasurer, Bro. J. Phillips. After the lodge business' was concluded, a social evening was held, A.D. Bro, Jeffries occupying the chair. A lengthy toast list was gone through, and songs and recitations helped towards one of the most successful gatherings held in the Lodge rooms. The following brethren contributed songs: W. Lavin, W. Hamilton, V. Abbot (Morgan Lodge), J. Gillies, W. Jeffries, R. eKogan; and a recitation by Bro. Meadley was greatly appreciated. Bros. Herb Hartley and Bert Grayling played two violin solos, ana also assisted as acoompanises. For the information of brethren who were not present, the secretary's address is care of Railway Department, Taihape.
