THE GREEK SITUATION
RETURN OF CONSTANTINE. OPPOSED BY BRITAIN AND FRANCE. Received 10.10 a.m. PARIS, Nov. 21. Britain and. France are both opposed to Constantine's return. France suggests a .strong warning to Greece, while Britain prefers to wait for next Sunday's plebiscite. Should the latter indicate Constantine 's recall, Britain will recommend the withdrawal of some of* the Greek mandates, and the revision of the Sevres Treaty, in the belief that Greek troops in Smyrna constitute a menace instead of a guarantee.
