SALE OF DEFENCE STORES. The secretary of the Taihape R.S.A. will receive requisitions from returned soldiers onjy for surplus defence .stoes to be disposed of by .the Defence Department. AH requisitions', to be accompanied by casfr, mast be lodged not later than Thursday, l#h November. No requisitions mil be received after that date. The following is a list of the articles to be sold: Grey blankets (10 x 4), 15/, 12/, 9/, 6/, according to grade; coloured towels 6/ per pair; new uOSpital white towels 2/6 per pair; sea kits 8d to 1/; new braces 3/3 per pair; worsted gloves 2/3 pair; chest comforters 1/3; underpants new 7/6, renovated 5/; woollen shirts, now 1079, renovated 7/3; new flannel undershirts 8/9; denim trousers, tnree grades 2/6, 3/6 and 4/6; blue serg* trousers, new 26/, renovated 21 r; boots, new 31/, re-bottomed 18/6; repaired 15/6; deck suits (a la steward) to 14/6; deck, canvas and other shoes to be graded; suits (a la steward), blue, special pattern, comprising coat, trousers and waistcoat £2 10/ per suit: greatcoats- dyed indigo or navy. £4 10/ each; renovated greatcoats to be graded"; tlenim Sachets 3/6 t& 6/6; woollen jerseys 10/9, renovated 3/9; Balaclava caps 1/6 each". No requisition will.be accepted unless the applicant gives satisfactory proof that he is a returned soldier and is entitled to apply.
