STRENUOUS CAMPAIGNING. Received 9.10 a.m.. LONDON, Nov. 3. Ten thousand organisers and canvassers, employing all sorts of media, including aeroplanes, are engaged in the Scottish- liquor poll. Publicans and parsons vied with one another through a strenuous, day. Intense public! interest was displayed, ".opposing parties parading the streets with banners and shouting war cries. The only dull places were*the hotels, which were closed.

THE GLASGOW POLL. FOUR WARDS VOTE DRY. Received 10.50 a.m. LONDON, Nov. 3. In the municipal elections for Glasgow, the Labourites gained twenty and now hold 44 seats out of 113. At the liquor poll, 24 wards in Glasgow voted for continuance, nine voted for limitation of licenses, and four for no-license. Ninety-four out of sixteen hundred licenses will be cancelled* Aberdeen voted continuance in all wards.
