BANQUET TO SOLDIERS.

TOWN HALL, FRIDAY

The citizens of Taihape have practically completed all the arrangements in connection with the banquet to and re-union of retured soldiers, which is to be held iff the Town Hall on Friday evening next. All returned soldiers are invited, and tickets for civilians may be had from Messrs F Marlow, E. McLaughlah, G. W. Wrightson, S. Dunbar, or J. R.. Cunmngh'ame, at £1 1/ each. So far, invitations have been given to over. 300 returned soldiers, and the majority of tho.se &?e likely to be present. Officers representing the various military and other departments will be in attendance, and the function promises to be one of the greatest of its kind ever held on the Main Trunk line.
