Thursday wa3 the, end of the foo!toall season as far as the local union is concerned, when a tournament was played between seven senior and eight juniors from th*'different teams. The first two teams to take the field were the Pirate seniors and Mataroa jun lors, the following being the players: Ph-ate seniors: Cowie, C. Murphy. E. Sinclair, O'Connell, McAuliffe, Hay, Dockery. Mataroa: Scott, Knox, Dock«y, Bennett, Potaka, Livingstone, Patten. The game was one-sided and uninteresting, the Pirates winning by 21 to nil. The next game was between the Pirate Juniors and Huia the teams being: Pirate Juniors: J. Murphy, MeSweeney, Donovan, McLure, Keating, Steed, Eaton. Daley. Huia Juniors. Neagle, Shields, Leahy, Bennett Walker. Kessell. Bagley. This game was devoid of any good football but was an even game, the Pirate juniors winning by 3 to nil. The third game was between Utiku and Huia Seniors, the teams being.— Utiku: Sutherland, McAlister, Curran, Foster. Potaka, Publes, Kerepa, Robertson. Huia Seniors: Belliss, Ongley, R. Maher, Boyd f Lovell McDgrmott. This game was fairly 1 even, but the Huia seniors were never > ..seriously defending, the game ending in a win for the Huia seniors by- 5 to nil. - . The semi-final was between the Pirate Seniors and Pirate' 'but the seniors were too nippy for'their junior division and won by 11 to ■'nil. The final as predicted was played •off between the two senior teams, but the "Pirates won easily by 6 to nil, thus winning the- medals.
