HOSPITAL CARNIVAL NOTES.

Already without canvass offers of a Ball at Utiku and a Lincoln ram by Mr S. Cartier are to hand.

Mr E. Trevor Hill as town, organiser is already in the field, engineering entertainments, and the various "days'' for the mighty effort: Mr J R. Mr Swindells, who is the honorary secretary will have a busy time working" upon the-many and various functions that have been mapped out in makingTHospital Carnival Week something above the average in immensity and splendour.

Mr Gifford, it is hoped wfl.l "have a busy time in the near future as treasurer, counting up and checking \the aforesaid £IOOO. Let us hope .tne amount is so large that he will have to employ assistants and then work overtime.

The organisers of the Hospital Carnival Week,, who are out to collect £IOOO for an ambulance and surgical necessities for the Taihape District Hospital, backed as they are by an appeal that finds -finds universal popularity in the nobleness of the cause, are already meeting with willing response that will go to make this function a brilliant success from every aspect.
