-- " # —"i j ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. I The annual general meeting of |he Rangitikei A. and P. Society was held yesterday, when Mr. W. Doole presided over an attendance of nineteen members. The minutes of the annual and special general meetings were read and confirmed. Messrs. A, G. Lawson and W. PI. Stent were elected scrutineers. Mr. W. S. Reid presented the cup donated by him and Avon h^ r Mr. H. D.. Bennett. The cup was received by Mr. W. R. Anderson on behalf of Mr. Bonnet r, and the chairman thanked Mr. Reid for the cup, REPORT AND BALANCE SHEET. The annual report and balance-sheet ; was presented as follows: — In presenting this the ninth annual report together with the statement of accounts to the 31st August, 1920, if is to be regretted that there is a de fieit of £54 12/11, this is occasioned by the fact that there are. outstanding Subscriptions and donations ito the extent of £lO9 5/6, the bulk of which I am sure will be paid during, the current year in which they are due, so that the deficit at the end of the year would not be shown. The thanks of the Association are due to those who kindly donated special priz'es and trophies for the shows. At the Winter Show this year the Poultry Section was deleted and a School Section substituted. The innovation was a success and in future years if continued should further contribu e to the interest taken in the show. Mr. Emil Anderson's nomination for the office of president is the only one received. Foe the offices of vice-presi-. dents and committeemen a ballot is ncceessary and the voting papers -.are: enclosed. * • The balance-sheet showed that the expenditure for the year was £945 15/ff and the receipts £B9l 2/7; leaving a debit of £52 12/T1 or. the years’ work- , ing. . The chairman suggested that all outstanding subscriptions should be paid promptly, and urged that the comJnitteemen should make a point of attending all meetings, ami devoting, attention to the work of the society. Anderson, Jno. Collins, jas. Whittle*' and D. Addis. , A vote of thanks was accorded to.-' Mr. C. L. Dymock for his services as treasurer. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
