The deliberations were strictly secret, but it is understood they are combining with the waterside workers to abolish labour bureaux on the waterfront, and also opposing' ithe employment of coloured- labour on certain vessels. BROKEN HILL DISPUTE. WORK TO BE RESUMED. Received 10.25 a.m. SYDNEY, This Day. The Council of the Miners' Federation will consider to-day the question of resumption of work at the Broken Hill mines. CLOTHING TRADES AWARD. Received 10.50 a.m. PERTH, This Day. The Arbitration Court award reduces the hours in the "clothing trades from 48 to 44 weekly, and raises the minimum wage from 30/- to 45/- per week. BRITISH MINING TROUBLE. OVER 10.000 MINERS ON STRIKE. LONDON, October 5. Seven thousand miners are striking in Wales, three thousand in Scotland and some in other districts. The executives advise rejection of the owners ' offer.
