AMUSEMENTS

TOWN HALL PICTURES. "A PAIR OF SIXES." By the way, one of the best comedies to blow along this way for many a long day is "A Pair of Sixes,'' in which Taylor Holmes is the unfortunate victim of a game of poker tnat decides a contract. The winner is to have control of flic business in which Holmes is a partner, incidentally a successful pill business, and the loser is to become the winner's butler and valet for a year. Of murse when the hands are dealt poor old Holmes loses —to a pair of sixes, and any poker player would guess how much that hurt. Anyone who has a drop of humour- in his composition is sure to enjoy this farcical comedy; it has many situations where the humour rises in a crescendo till the house fairly rocks with laughter.
