AMIR’S FLIGHT TO KABUL.

Tie Bolsheviks are now pouring troops into Central Asia, extending their hold, over Bokhara,-and merchants are fleeing to India with their possessions. The Amir of Bokhara, who escaped before the Bolsheviks arrived, is negotiating with the Amii of Afghanistan for help, and will probably seek refuge at Kabul; ITio documents • which have fallen into ihe hands of the invaders show friendly sentiments and promises of assistance from Afghanistan to Bokhara after the treaty with Britain had been concluded. The Bolsheviks are giving further assistance to the Persian rebels.

A War Office Mesopotamia communique states: The garrison at Kufa has been beleaguered for some weeks. It is inferred that there are sufficient supplies of necessaries and ammunition as aeroplanes "discovered a request painted on a roof asking only for tobacco and cigarettes.

The truculent sheik, Dhari was located twenty-five miles north-west of Bagdad, with a strong following and thousands of camels. They were attacked and scattered by aeroplanes, with considerable casualties.; ,
