OBITUARY.
MR P. COLEMAN
Another of the pioneer residents' of this dis rict, in the person of Mr P. Colenian. - passed away yesterdayafter a short illness. The deceased had been a resident of Taihape for many years-, and was well-known throughout the whole district. He was taken ill a few days ago, but on account of his having previously been in such good health his death came as a painful surprise to his relatives and many friends. The late Mr Coleman was among the band of pioneers who remained in 'his district after the completion of the railway, and his genial disposition and good nature was such that be was greatly esteemed and respected by all w-io knew him. He leaves a widow, four daughters and a son, to whom the sympathy of a large circle of friends will be extended in their sad bereavement. Mr Coleman was 57 years of age at the time of his death. The funeral will leave St. Mary's Roman Catholic Churcn to-morrow for the cemetery at 2.30 p.m.
