Reports from Ilelsingfors, via Copenhagen, state that Trotsky is planning a gTetft winter campaign against the Poles. New Red armies are being organised in Beresina and the Upper Dneiper districts.

AMERICAN MEAT SHORTAGE.

Speakers at the annual convention of the Institute of American Meat Packers, held at Atlantic. City, pointed out that the big packers of the United States were facing a serious meat shortage, due to the growing disinclination of farmers to raise cattle owing to high costs. The institute hopes to devise some means of remedying the shortage.
