On Saturday, the Taihape representative Rugby team will travel to Marion and make an effort to secure the Pownall Trophy, which the Rangitiket reps, took from, them some weeks ago. The game should be worth seeing, ,and it is certain that a large number of Taihape people will make the trip. The trophy is being competed for on the same conditions as the Eanfurly Shield, and if it comes back to Tai. hape on Saturday, som egood games for the trophy should be played here later on.

The following will represent TaU hape, and will travel by the 1020 a.m.. train on Saturday:—Backs: R. Healey, R. Collier, Cowie. Dockery, R. Maher, McAuliffe ana Rose. " For/wards: Belliss (wing), Sinclair, Sullivan, J. Collier, Bately, Tuke, Murphy, and 'Hay. Emergencies: Bennett, E. Sinclair, Lysnar. and Whaki.
