A WOMAN’S ENDURANCE.
i A remarkeable story of the wonderful powers of endurance of the Bedouin woman in child-birth has been received hero from Northern Palestine, where a Bedouin, mounted on a horse, accompanied by his sister on foo,t, undertook a journey of several miles at the time his sister was pregnant. They had gone but three miles when the woman retired to the roadside and gave birth to a boy, immediately' resuming the journey on foot. A few mile? further on she gave birth to a second child, a girl. The two.babies were handed to the who remained, mounted, and the woman continued on foot. After march-, ing for nearly another mile the woman again halted and was delivered of a third child, which she carried whilst she walked the remainder of the journey.
