HOGGET FAIR. Abraham & Williams Ltd. report: Supplementary Halcombe Hogget. Fair. Sheep did not come forward in advertised numbers, only about 6000 being submitted. The quality on the whole was excellent, but owing to the scarcity of feed and surplus hoggets on the market the sale was lifeless, only about 2000 changing hands, at. prices in favour of buyers. Ewe hoggets 22/3, 23/1, 23/5 t 0.26/, wether hoggets 23/1, 23/6, 26/6 to 28/6, mixed hoggets 20/, 21/1, 22/4 to 26/6. PALMERSTON NORTH SALE, At Palmerston North sale on Bth inst. we had a fair entry of both sheep and cattle. We quote as follows:—Sheep. —Mixed hoggets 16/, 21/ to 25/. fat hoggets 30/6 to 31/. small 2-th wethers to 21/6. Cattle. - Cows £9 to £lO, empty heifers £3. FEILDING STOCK SALE. At Peilding on 10th inst. a fair .yarding and a good entry of cattle came forward. Wo quote; Fat wethers 34/6 to £2 0/6, fat ewes 27/6, fat hoggets 30/, cross-bml hoggets 19/6 to 20/. Cattle.—Dairy heifers £ll 10/. £l6 10/, £lB, £2O to 21, dairy cows £9. £lO 5/ to 13, fat heifers £9 to £lO 5/, dairy yearlingheifers £3 16/, £4 15/, £5, £5 15/, £6 to £7. yearling S.H. heifers £4 17 6 to £5, yearling coloured steers £2 10/ to £3, 2-yr steers low condition £5 6/ to £7.
