RUSSIA AND POLAND.
BOLSHEVIKS IN RUSSIA. Received 9.5 a.m. PARIS, Sept. 7.. Foreign Office information leads to the calculation that 128,000 Bolshevik troops have taken refuge in Bast Prussia. The Polish Government is dissatisfied with the internment conditions, as Bolshevik bands are roaming at large in Bast Prussia and are even re-crossing the frontier, attacking Polish villages, and then again seeking refuge in Germany. This manoeuvre was adopted in the attacks on the fortresses of Osowitz and Suwalki. Poland has requested the Allies to require that Germany shall properly intern and disarm the refugees. A UKRANIAN PROTEST. AGAINST GALICIAN ADVANCE. VIENNA, Sept. 6. A telegram states that as a protest against the occupation of Eastern Galicia by the Poles a fully equipped cavalry division, composed of Galicians and Ukraniaus, under General Pawlenko, which Ms been actively engaged in ghting the Bolsheviks, crossed into Czecho Slovaka, and has been interned “REDS” IN BOKHARA. A SOVIET PROCLAIMED. MOSCOW, Sept. 6. A wireless message reports that a Soviet republic has been proclaimed in Bokhara, where the “Red” troops occupied the principal military points. Documents have been found, adds the wireless message, revealing British intrigues with the Afghan Government. POLAND AND LITHUANIA. AMICABLE RELATIONS. PARIS Sept. 6. It is reported that ■ hostilities between Poland and Lithuania has virtually ceased and peace negotiations are being arranged.
