CHILDREN'S BALL.

The ladies who assembled at the Technical School for the purpose of making arrangements for the supper for the Children's Ball to be held on the 17th September ha. a very successful meeting, presided over by Mr A. James, chairman of the District High School Committee. After full discussion it was decided that instead of making the usual personal canvass for donations in cash or kind, a form should be delivered to the residents asking for their support. It was also decided to hold the next meeting in the cookery room at the Technical School at 3.15 p.m. on Wednesday next, when it is expected there will be a record attendance.
