SKATING.
. A special session for learners only is being held every evening at 7 p.m. and free instruction will be given and those attending to learn this, fascinating. sport should start at once. Skating has a big hold of Taihape and last wfiek was a record. The- floor has improved and is now a dflight to skate on. The management has opened a refreshment room, and it is proving a popular addition to th rink. The hocKey match on Saturday proved .a great success flip rovers winning after an exciting game. The Grand Carnival fallls on September. thic 80th.
