GENEVA, Aug. 8.
The final setting of the Lahour Congress was marked by a geries-of speeches from the leaders of the British, Eelgian, Dutch and German delegations ,denouncing Bolshevism and re-affirming the principle of social de-4 mocracy, which meant the peaceable transformation of society; Whilst Bol'shevism advocated terrorism and violence.
The Congress appointed Mr Arthur Henderson president of the new International Executive, ana Herr von Huysments secretary.
THE MINERS’ CONGRESS.

GENEVA, Aug. 8.
The International Miners Congress, Mr Smillie presiding, concluded by passing a resolution that the miners endeavour t'o organise a universal general strike in the event of a threat of future war; also a unanimous resolution dwelling on the na{tionalisation of mines as an essential Step towards the economic reorganisation of the world. The executive was instructd -to report within twelve months upon the steps necessary to secure nationalisation’, even if it is 31908558-1‘? to declare a general international miners strike.
