TAIHAPE TEAMS AT WANGANUI.
The ladies' representative (hockey team visited Wanganui yesterday and played the Wanganui ladies’ rep. team, j The Ta'hape players did not play up to their usual form and were defeated j by seven goals to two. The men’s rep. team met the team which was selected to represent Wanganui at Auckland in the shield match. The visitors put up a good fight, but the Wanganui team, was superior to the extent of seven goals to three. The Wanganui team will j play the Taihape reps, at Taihape on j Thursday next, as they will break j • their journey at’ Taihape. The game should bo au Interesting one if the j local team £‘ots in a. bit of practice in 1 the meantime.
