big handicap tomorrow.
NOMINATIONS CLOSE TO-DAY.
The big handicap shoot under the auspices of the Awarua Gun Club will be held to-morrow, and judging by the number of nominations received, the event will be keenly contested. A reminder is given that nominations close this evening with the secretary, Mr E. McLaughlan. The offering of such excellent prize money has evoked a great deal of interest among local sports, and if all one hears is correct the Club will have been justified in putting on the £IOO handicap.
