An Amsterdam message states that} Dutch shipping- companies have amalgamated under the name of the Society of United Dutch Shipping Companies, with a capital of about £15,000,000. The new concern will operate under? the names of the Holland-East Asia, the Holland-British India, ' the Hol< land-Australasia, and the HollandAfrica lines. , The Times correspondent in Rotter* donv states that tie shipping amalgam motion is planning keen competition on th§ main world routes, and especi-t ally aims to forestall tie American! marine expansion. f . *
