JAPAN’S NAVAL PREPARATIONS.
SIGNIFICANT STATEMENT BY MINISTER. The Minister of the Navy gave evidence before the Diet Committee that Japan’s building capacity was two capital ships Her naval plans were based solely on her geographical situation, but the posslibe strength of other navie s detachable against Japan received, consideration. The naval budget estimates cover four new battleships, four battlecruisers, and other small vessels, torpedo equipment and oil tankers. The estimated cost is 680 million yen.
