IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT'S PAY

MENT TO GROWERS

WELLINGTON, July 16. The Prime Minister, as Minister in charge'of the Department of Imperial Gavernment Supplies has issued a lettei in the following tonus to ah wool brokers in the Dominion; "It is expected that an interim payment on account of profits arising under the Imperial Goverment wool purchase accounts will shortly be made to cover the period to March 31st. 1919. It has been arranged that the payments shall be made by the Department of Imperial Government Suppuies direct to the growers. As a preliminary step, I should be pleased if you would furnish that department witih a statement to show particulars of payment (a) from November Ist, 1916, to October 31st, 1917; (b) from November Ist 1918 to October 31ai 1918; (e- from November .Ist 1918 to October 31st 1919. I s* all be P leased if you would arrange that the statements be in agreement with the totals of the purchase money already balanced with the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, and I would further ask that it becertified as correct in the susal manner. I should also be much obliged if you would allow the matter to receive your early attention in order that the information may be available at the earliest possible moment. 7 '
