Bourke is threatened with a£ flood. Mr McGirr (Minister), and Mother Hood are distributing outfits of baby clothes to necessitous expectant moth-' ers, and in gratitude numbers of babies have been given his Christian 'name.
A private scientific expedition,' with Government assistance, is being organ* ised to thoroughly explore ‘German New Guinea, including ' the little known parts. The expedition wall in* elude experts in anthropology, botany, geology, zoology, and other sciences. ADELAIDE, July 16. The Prince completed his South Aus* tralian visit and departed in the Re* nown for Tasmania.
