Skating is proving itself still Stmllg. among lovers of clean, healthy sport, and as an €X€l'C‘-i'.S(‘ it is a great boon.for those that are shun up in offices‘ all day. A tl~elnenC.ou.s. 10‘. of work has been put on the floor and the floor is‘ looking in splendid condition T 39 ladies are taking great interest in: their Thursday evening session, which is sure to be afigrezit success. Ladies are requested to bring a gentlemanpartner. No Boys Will be allowed on the floor. The grand plain and fzincy dress carnival is to take place shortlfiv, and patrons are requested to reserve their skates. This skating carnival is .2;oing to be worked on a grand scale and will firove to =’be an event worth looking forward to. The 'hocke,v last week was a great success, considering hockey on skates has never been tried here before. Next Thursday there will be four tam: competing: Pakehas v. Rovers and Huias v. Dinkems. The matches "commence at 9.15.
