WELCOME TO RETU RNED SOLDIERS.
The meet.ing of ladies to make arrangements for the fitting welcome home of our returned men was held in the Town Hall yesterday. Mrs Joblin presided. and considerable discussinn took place as to the most appropriate forln the function was to fake. Eventually, it was decided to hold a. Venetian Ball on July 21st. Fancy dress is to be optional, but evFl"yone must wear masks. Cards and other amusements~. are to be provided for 11011-danCel's_. and other steps are to be taken for the enjoyment and comfort of the soldiers-. Everyone is invited to attend this ball_ >
The next meeting of the ladies will be held in the supper]-oom of the Town Hall on Tuesday evening. at 7.30 o’C'.lOC‘k. ,
