SKATING.
Skating -has found great favour with lovers of good and healthy sport, and is likelylto have a . long and healthy season. The management of the rink which has opened in Taihape has laid itself out to do its best. to please patorns. Saturday is- completely taken up by men, who xralz the most of it. Tuesday is being re-sex-Ved for ladies and their partners, no boys being admitted, so ladies can take full advantaeg of this ,night.
Several ladies are also very keen on forming a hockey on skates t:eeml. Great interest centres on {he fm-thcoming grand skating carnival at the end of the current month. The rink is open al_l day and each evening.
