On the same bill to-night, Peggy Hyland is fenhxrerl in :-1 modern dra.-a matic play el:‘.itled_. “Other Men’s[ Daughters.” The old adage “Do untol others as you wish to he done by ’.’ ism well exemplified in this play which‘ pictures the feelings of a gay fatherl when he finds other men trifling withi his own daughter. It has a. great: lesson for men and is a series of stir-1 ring incidents that fathers, Wives, daughters and sons will all find inter-1 esting and full of food for thought. ; The stoves at «the 'l‘own' Hall keepi the whole auditorium cosy and warm. 2:. detail that makes all the difference these cold nights to the enjoyment of an entertainment. THE T~.’.l'.\*G ’S——TO-NIGHT. "‘Cu;_.>id Forecloscs,” adapted from Florence Morse Kingsley’s popular novel, “Hu_rrying Fate and Geraldine,” makes a pleasing vehicle in which to feature Bessi.e Love. The youthful star has 9. charming role in the village school teacher, who is only ‘a few ‘years senior to her pupils. Bessie Love as Geraldine depicts the emotions of the country girl who wants to do big things in a clever nianner. She is ably supported by_ a_stron-g cast which tends to strengthen her interpretation. The story is well balanc~ ed. It has touches of fiathos, offset by a vein of rich, sparkling comedy. There isa deep human interest involvcd that holds the attention. The emotions depicted are those which every human being has felt. There is nothing -melodramatic or sensational about it, and the author does not resort to mock heroics. It is a classic. The action {moves along naturally; characters are built up logically as the story unfolds; nothing ‘is dragged in by the ears and inconcsistencics are avoided. It. is 9. 100 per cent. picture and one that will appeal to young and old of all classes. It is‘ a.p:lge cut from each individa.ul’s life history and worked into_ a clever story.
