SKATING.
Skating has -found great favour with lovers of good‘ and healthy sport, and is likely to have a long and healthy season. The management of the rink which has opened in Taihape has laid bitséilf out to do its best to please patorns. Saturday is completely taken up by men, who make the most of it. Tuesday is being reserved for ladies and their partners, no boys being admitted, so ladies can take full advantaeg of this night. Several ladies are also very‘ keen on forming a hockey on skates team. Great interest centres on the forthcoming grand skating Carnival at the end of the current. month; The rink is open all day and each evening.
