In the House of Commons, replying to Lord Curzon, Lloyd George stated the Allied Committee ensuring the trial of war criminals at Lcipsig was not unduly delayed. Replying to Mr Bottomlcy, he said the. failure to bring the ex-Kaiser to justice was certainly a dereliction of i(luty on the part of the Government expert, if the ex-Kaiser were available; but he thought he was not worth more bloodshed. He pointed out Holland declined to surrender him. He thought it w r as not desirable to use force. Replying to 'Mr Claude Lowther, Lloyd George declared no pledge was given by the Government to compel the surrender of the ex-Kaiser if he was in the power of a neutral Power who declined to give him up.
