According to a Sebastopol report General Wrangel completely destroyed the thirteenth Bolshevik army in the Crimea, and now holds the whole of the left bank of the Dneiper. BERLIN, June 29 Herr Fehrenbach, addressing the Reichstag, in referring to the deep suspicion with which the Allies regarded Germany, said the Government should do its best to end this by convincing them that Germany had ! no dreams of revenge. The New York; Times’ San Francisco correspondent states as the Democratic Convention is . progressing the situation is shaping, where Mr McAdoo will be the target for the javelins of destruction of the supporters of all other aspirants. This is due to the rapid spectacular rise of the McAdoo sentiment during the last 48 hours. The managers of bther aspirants will act with a common purpose, namely of keeping the McAdoo vole down, and if possible throw the con- j vention into a deadlock. The Democratic convention directed Chairman Cummings to send a message to President Wilson, endorsing his administration, praising hi s peace work, and expressing satisfaction that ho had recovered from his illness. NEW YORK, June 28. The New York Times ’ San Francisco correspondent states that Mr Bryan, who besides Mr Wilson, is the strongest single force at the Convention, will offer the following plank in the Demo'r eratic platform; “We demand the amendment of the Federal Constitution providing for the ratification of the Treaty by a majority of the Senate; wc favour the immediate reconvening of the Senate and the ratification of the Treaty with such reservations as a majority of Senators desire; we favour the selection of the League of Nations’ delegates by a popular vote, and the delegates should be instructed not to vote for war without specific instructions from Congress on a popular referendum, and the dele-, gates should insist upon world disarmament.
