RIOTING IN LONDONDERRY. Received 9.20 a.m. LONDON. June 21. Rioting was renewed at Londonderry this morning One was mortally and two seriously injured. Rifle and revolver firing continued in the disturbed area. People are afraid to proceed to work, and business is «t a standstill. RAILWAY OUTLOOK GLOOMY. Received 5.40. | DUBLIN, June 21. The railway outlook is gloomy, and a crisis has been reached. The railwaymen defy Lloyd George's threat to close the railways, and are fully prepared for v. fight. They are supported by Republican funds. IRISH RAILWAYMEN REFUSE TO GIVE WAY. LONDON, June 20. j Mr J. H. Thomas, Secretary of the j Railways Society, in a speech, said j the Irish railwaymen who interviewed I the Premier haa decided that whatever the consequences might be they would not give w r ay. If Ireland were ! running blood next week, and if the J military succeeded in exterminating j the railwaymen, there would still re- ! main the Irish problem to solve. lie > asked Irish workers to realise the j consequences of starting a fight! against the machine-guns of militar- I ism. Trade unionists and the Gov- j ernment had national obligations. j DESPERATE ATTACK ON BARRACKS. i LONDON. June 21. j Two hundred Sinn Feiners made a desperate night attack on the barracks a f Fan-en, fourteen miles from Cork. Using gelignite, they blew up a corner of the barracks, and followed this up with a fusilade of revolver and rifle shots. The garrison pluckily held out until reinforcements arrived, and put the attackers to flight. The Sinn Feiners abandoned laree motor cars. The barracks was wrecked.
