FAT STOCK MARK};-I~,s_ 93%‘Priccs for choice and prime quality ox were firm at the Westfielde fut stock sales yesterday. ‘Messl:s.Buckla.nd and Sons reported that their supply of beef numbered 504 head, comprising 396 steers, 97 cows and heifers, and 11 bulls. There was a. steady demand throughout with values firm for choice and prime quality ox. Other classes were easier, Extra choice ‘ox sold for £2 12/ per mfllbs, prime and choice £2 8/ to £2 11/, ordinary and plain £2 3/ to £2 5/; c_ow afnd heifer beef £1 15/ to £2 3/; rough beef £l'7/ to £1 16/. Heavy prime steers ranged in‘ prices from £2O to ‘£23’ ’ls‘/,"for ‘cattle from Mr William Vosper, Dinglcy Dell, Cambridge, Lighter prime steers made from £ls [W to £l9 15/. Plain, light and unfinished realised from £8 10/ to £l4. Cows afid ‘heifers sold from £l4 10/ to £lB 10/ ‘for extra heavy prime -cows.
