A Sinn Fein tribunal in County Clare sentenced three men to a fortnight‘s detention on Mutton Island for refusing the tribunal’s order to rebuild a. farm wall which .t.he§' demolished. The Constabulary learned of tlle.lllCi.(leD,t', and sent back to rescue the inarooned trio, who, however, stoned their rescuers‘ and declined to be released, declaring tlremselves to "be citizens of the Irish Republic; therefore the constnbulary had no auotzhority to intervene. The constabuln.r_V withdrew. The prisoners’ had ample provisions. “ VMUNITIONS FOR IRELAND. DOCKERS TO REFUSE TO HANDLE. DUBLIN, June 8. Munitions are hurriedly arriving at Cork. The Harbour Commissioners refused to unlock the big cranes for an armed transport and unloading military lon-.ies__ The soldiers broke the locks and commenced unloading, but made little progress in the absence of dockers. The railway strikers have not returned. At Limerick the workers refuse to handle coal intended for the contsabulary, and the constables are unloading it, protected by an armed escort, -
