MAIN TRUNK RUGBY UNION.

A conference was recently held at Taihape with reference to ‘Lye setting up of a Main ”Iv‘l-unk Rugby Union. The delegates liresent decided in fa~ Vour of the proposal and communicated wifh the New Zealand Union on the matter.

A reply has now been received that the management Committee of this body had disbussed the proposal. The procedure to be followed was set out in rule 10 as follows:-—-—“.L\.ny Unison desiring admission to‘ this Union must be proposed and seconded by "delegates representing two different unions already affiliated. It shall submit its_ proposed boundaries and.tlle number of teams under its control and shall be balloted for at a. general meeting, a majority of votes to.decide.” '

The annual meeting is set down for May 28th. . -
