WEDDING BELLS.
A very pretty wedding was solemnised at the Presbyterian Church, Ta.ihape, on Wednesday, 14th April, when Ethel Maud, eldest. daughter ofi Mr and Mrs T. Thompson, was united in -3.101":/' bonds of matvrinmny fo Harold Bertram Hadfield, of Blenheim. The ‘bride entered the church on her father"s arin, wearing a pretty frock of ivory'crepe> de chene and georgette, with the orthodo'x‘vT2‘fl, ‘iiid orangeblossoms, and carried a pretty bouquef. She was attended by her sisters, Misses Blandhe and Doris, the chief bridesmaid wearing a, frock of vieux rose ehepe de chene and Mack hat, and carried :1 pretty bouquet—-Doris wcar~ ing a dainty muslin frock and black hat. Mr Roy Hadfield, Takaka, cousin of the bridegroom, capably carried out the duties of best man. The bridegl'oom’s present to the bride was a wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaids a gold bangle and brooch respectively.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. 0. Loan, and Mrs Box played the “Wedding March.” ‘The reception was afterwards held in the church hall. when 9, large number of guests partook of a sumptuous Weddingbreakfast, and the usualetoasts were duly honpured. ' The happy couple left for the South Island amidst showers of ccnfetti and best wishes. The bride ’s fravelling dress was a check ccistume and black hat. A large numsberof usefuT presents were received, including several cheques. '
