ACCUSED AGAIN REMANDED.
The young man Dennis Gunn (25), who is held under arrest on charges that on March 13, he murdered Angustus Edward Braithwaite and robbed the Ponsonby post office, was brought before Mr J. E. Wilson, S.M., on remand, at the Police Court yest.erda.y
1 morning. I Chief-Detective McMahon. asked that aceusecl be further remanded for trial to a date to be fixed, adding that accused’s counsel (Mr Prendergast) acquiesced in the application. I Mr Prendergast: Yes, your Worship.The Magistrate: You ask for a re- : mand for a week, with liberty to bring 1 him up on any date in the meantime? ‘ Mr McMahon replied that a remand 4 on those terms would satisfy him, and ]MI- Prendergast agreing. the remand was granted accordingly till nexfi I Tuesday.
