Received‘ 9.35 am.
NE WYORsK, April 10.
The Chicago Tribune’s represelltative interviewed Lord French, who denied that he stated to the Daily Ex~ press he was “fed up” and anxious to resign. What he actually said was that the Vice Royalty is not a bed of roses, and he would not object to relinquishing the job, but was not resigning before the end of the year. A xrebellion was unlikely, and would not be successful. The Government was certain to retain command of the si.tua,ti.on. ‘
