All arrangements fire now complete in connection with the: sports meeting to be held to-morrow under the auspices of the Taihapc Returned Soldiers’ Association «ind Hibernian Sports Club. The carnival needs no recommendation of a special kind, as ‘the record nominations are sutficient .to ensure that the competition will be strong in every event on the programme. There "are, however, a few regulations in connection with this sports meeting which will be strictly adhered to, and the public and compe—titors will be well advised to make a note of them in order 1:0 avoid any unnecessary confusion or 'Tmpleasantness on the day.’ Car-owners are reminded that a charge of 2/6 will be levied for every motor car which enters the ground, in addition to the ordinary charges for the occupants of the car. An attendiint will be in charge. All cars must be parked in accordance with his insltructions, and

in no circumstances will any car he allowed to encroach on the portion of the ground reserved for spectators. Competitors will note that they nuist be ready to start at the exaclt time advertised in the oflicial programme, as tlie events are all timed very closely in order to enable the programme to be got off in the time allotted. The attention of athletes and axemen is especially‘ directed to this regulation, and no infringement will be allowed. Competitors in the running and axemen’s events wil not be admitted inside the oval until all fees have been paid, and the admission of competitors to ‘the inside ground will be by ticket only. All competitors are, therefore, requested to see that they obtain Such tickets from the secretary’s oflice on the ground, as no competitor will be allowed to start unless he can produce such a tiekdt to the stewzird in charge of the event in which he is :1 competitor. Axemen are earnestly requested to have their legs in readiness before the advertised starting time of the events in which they are engaged; ‘Residents of Mangaweka, Utiku, Ohutu, and Winiata are reminded that passenger accommodation will be provided on the train which leaves Marton at 6.45 a.m., and which afiives at Tnihape at 10.59 2.111. Visitors from any part of the district soirth of Taumarunni should note ‘that a train will leave Taihape for Taumarunui at 10.55 p.m.. and will stop where required to set down passengers. A train will leave for Marton,.Palmerston North and Wanganui at 4.45 pm. The nfiieir-.1 programmes have been completed, andwill be on sale this evening. The public and competitors should note that every efiort will be made to adhere strictly to the timetable. - V
