GRAND NATIONAL CONCERT.

TO-MORROW NIGHT.

Mr Hamilton Hodges, with his talented concert party from Wellington, will arrive by the early mo:'ll'lng_ express to-morrow. The party comprises the same artists, with om: exception who appezifed here on New Year’s night. Mr Austin Blackio was unable to make the trip, and although the public will regret. having to forego another opportunity of h<)-.lring' this fine tenor, lthey will be ploasml to hear that Mr R. Meates, a powerful bass

singer, is one of the party. Miss Eileen Driscoll, Miss Cleo. Fernaudos, Mrs E. H. Querre, and Mr Hamilton Hodges need no introduction to a Taihape aLildlenc.c, as they received. a great, reception when they appeared here on New Year’s night. Mr W. WCl‘a\\‘i’ol‘d is also paying us a return visit, and those who had the pleasure of hearing him on the‘ occasion of his last visit to Taihape were unanimous in the opinion that he has no equal in New Zealand as an entertainer. The audience On New Year's night accorded Mr Crawford :1 more flattering reception than any artist had ever previously received in Taihape. This popular entertainer has mastered a new eccentric dance since his last-' visit to Taihape, and has added to his wonderful repertoire of musical monologue, recitations, and humorous sketches, and is sure to be well received. The great merit of this concert party may be judged by the fact that on account of the party having been engaged for Taihape, the Wellington Hibernian Society has had to import artists from .-Xuckl-and and the South Island for the national concert at Wellington on Wednesday. Prices are as follows: Orchestral stalls 4/, dress circle 3/, back stalls 2/. No extra charge is made for booking. and the box plan is at Sherw'in’s. Purchasers of tickets may reserve their seats on the sports ground; where the box plan will be available.
